What do You Believe?

Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays because of the religious significance. But I'm not going to talk religion today. Instead I'm going to talk about what I do believe in, the things that bring me hope and keep me going. I believe in happily ever after. It truly does exist but no one said how many frogs it took to get there. I believe in magic and miracles. I believe in long wet kisses that never lead beyond first base. I believe that no matter how bad the storm, the promised rainbow will arrive and it will be beautiful. I believe in the power of a good friend to pick you up and put you back together when you need it most. I believe in faeries and dragons and ghosts. I believe in life on other planets. I believe that in order to more appreciate the world around us and our place in it, that it is important to keep an open mind and embrace the very differences that make us unique individuals. I believe because I am. I believe because not to believe has never been an option. I believe becuase no one has ever shown me that they absolutely do not exist and never have. So my question to you is what do you believe? What sparks your imagination and pulls you head long into fantasy? What twisted tales exist in the chaos of your mind just waiting for a way to be heard? Tell me....I'll believe...

I believe in the things that go bump in the night. I believe that facing that scary noise will make the scary noise go away. I believe in ghosts and goblins, witches and warlocks, angels and demons. I believe in the magic of a rainbow and a dandelion puff ball. I believe in the magic of a baby's smile and the reality of fairies that put the color on the autumn leaves. I believe in centaurs and mermaids, ogres and dwarves who live in caves, prince charming and Xena the warrior queen. But most of all I believe in the magic of friends.

I believe in the healing power of love and friendship. I believe in laughing until I cry and loving until it hurts. I believe in the joy of a child's laughter. I believe in faeries, witches and goblins. I believe in the wonder and magic hiding between the covers of good books. I believe that one person can make a difference. I believe that I am beyond blessed.
